A NEW SEASON for a. brittain studio

A. Brittain Studio is entering a new season, and I want to share what that looks like.

Over the coming months, we will be scaling back the studio, reducing our inventory, and moving away from in-person craft and art shows. Our current goal is to finish participating in shows by the end of 2026, with the possibility of one or two spring shows if we still have inventory available.

We are not completely closing the doors right now, but things are going to look different. We will be making less, producing in smaller quantities, and allowing our inventory to decrease rather than continually rebuilding it to show-season levels.

As part of this transition, we’ll be offering discounts throughout the website to help move the inventory we currently have on hand. Rather than continuing to build inventory to the levels we’ve maintained in the past, we’re going to let what we have move out and take things from there.

What happens beyond that is still being figured out.

For the past two years, I’ve spent a lot of time praying about the future of A. Brittain Studio. I’ve sensed a change was coming, but never felt a clear answer about exactly what that change should be.

We’ve had a lot happen over the past couple of years. We considered shifting to an entirely eco-friendly product line, but that brought its own challenges. Then 2025 really hit hard. Between taking a part-time job, a house flood, a major hailstorm, and eventually remodeling much of our home ourselves, it was an exhausting year.

By the time spring show season arrived, I was in survival mode. The business—and especially social media—naturally fell to the bottom of the list.

As we headed into 2026, I was hopeful that this would be a fresh start—a year where life settled down and I could put more time and energy into the business, especially growing our social media presence and developing the website. But, as life tends to do, it didn’t quite work out that way.

Throughout it all, I continued praying about what to do next.

After our spring shows this year, I finally sat down and really looked at the business from every angle—financially, creatively, and in terms of the time and energy it takes to maintain it at its current scale.

And I felt that it was time to adjust.

Not necessarily to close. Not necessarily to reinvent everything.

But to scale back and make room for whatever comes next.

I don't know exactly what the next version of A. Brittain Studio will look like. Our products may change. The way we operate may change. There may be something ahead that I can't see yet.

And honestly, I'm okay with that.

For now, we’re taking it one step at a time, trusting God with the direction, and focusing on reducing the inventory we have on hand.

Most importantly, thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased from us, visited us at shows, followed along online, shared our work, recommended us to friends, or simply stopped by our booth to say hello.

The past four and a half years have been an incredible whirlwind. We’ve learned so much, created things I’m incredibly proud of, and met so many wonderful people along the way.

I don't know exactly where A. Brittain Studio is headed from here, but I’m grateful you’ve been part of the journey.

Thank you. ❤️
